This tutorial will show you the steps required to add and manage a vehicle in your personal garage.

Step 1:

First things first; getting to the garage.  There are two (2) links that you may use to gain access to the garage.  The first is in the top block of the site, and the second is within the forum menu.  Both links are marked by green arrows below.

Main Menu:

Step 2:

Once you have made it to the garage, you will need to open your user garage, which will list all of your vehicles created on your profile.  The user garage is accessed by clicking on the 'My Vehicles' link in the garage menu.  The user garage link is indicated by a red arrow below.

Step 3:

Inside the user garage, all of your current vehicles will be displayed (indicated by three [3] red arrows; a vehicle exists in this garage).  If there are no vehicles created on your profile, no vehicles will be shown.  Use this menu to manage your existing vehicles.  To create a new vehicle, click on the 'Create Vehicle' button indicated by the single red arrow below.

Step 4:

Next, you are to provide the details of your vehicle.  All of the required fields are indicated by red arrows, but keep in mind the selection boxes next to 'Mileage' and 'Price' are required as well.  There are optional fields to provide more details if you would like.  You may also add an image from your computer or one that is hosted on another site (such as putfile or photobucket).  The image fields are indicated by yellow arrows.  Be sure to only use one of the image fields, both types of images cannot be submitted at once.

Once you have completed the form, click 'Create New Vehicle' indicated by the green arrow to create your new vehicle.

Step 5:

After your vehicle has been created, you will be taken to the vehicle management page.  If this is the only vehicle for your user profile, it will automatically be designated as your main vehicle.  If there is another vehicle currently your main vehicle, this vehicle will NOT be your main vehicle and you will have the option to set it as your main vehicle by clicking the button indicated by the green arrow.  Main vehicles are displayed in users posts, profile, and garage signature cards.

There are various other options to manage your vehicle (red arrows) and add modifications, quartermile runs, dynoruns, lap times, service history, and even blog posts.  Each of these buttons will allow creation of such additions to your vehicle and will be displayed at the bottom of the page indicated by the yellow arrows, if they exist.

To add, modify, or delete pictures of your vehicle, click on the 'Edit Vehicle' button in the vehicle management buttons.

Step 6:

If you have clicked on the 'Edit Vehicle' button you will be taken to a page where you can modify your vehicle info and manage the vehicle images.  Click on the 'Images' link indicated by the red arrow to manage images.

Step 7:

After clicking on the 'Images' link, you will see the options to add new images, modify image descriptions (yellow arrow), set hilite images (green arrow), or delete existing images (red arrow).  Setting a hilite image makes that the main image to be displayed in the vehicle profile and garage signature cards.
