Everytime I post in a thread, after I submit it I end up outside of the thread. Is it supposed to be that way?

Wait a tick. I was looking in the admin tool and didn't see the option. So I looked at my profile settings and WOAH there it is.
If you click on "Look and Layout Preferences" in your profile, check mark "Return to topics after posting by default."
