Click on the desired pic and choose "Delete this file"

Click under your name, where it says "Personal Gallery" when you post.

Then click the pic you want, and the option "Delete this file" should come up.

Ok, I figured it out...even after reading the Stickies at the top!.

Once you click on Media, then Gallery.  You have to click the ADMIN button.  Once you click on that, then you can click on any desired pic.  You have to click on it to get it full size though, as you can't delete just the thumbnail.  Once you hit delete it brings up a screen that list all the qualities that will be deleted, thumbnail, main image, etc
