i'm tired of my 17x9 chrome cobra r on m 96 gt, i want to switch out to a skinny up front and a decent 15 in in the back any ideas i was thinking something similar to the weld wheels, but they need to be durable enough for the street.

Depends on the streets.  If they are s***ty, good luck.  Those kinds of rims aren't really made for every day use.  That being said, Draglites are always safe- they look good on anything.  I'm getting Pro-Stars for mine.  Pretty much, anything from Weld or Centerline would look good.  If money's not a big deal, there's always Bogart. i looked into using the welds, i have to really space the rim away from the brake calipers, i don't want to do that.
