what are you lookin to do with the car?  I personally LOVE the Nittos.  Suerior traction, take em to the track - air down - launch 1.8s (or lower), decent tread wear for this kinda tire.

If you are on a budget then I would recommend the Falken Zeix 512 or the Khumo MX.

checked prices on-line and the difference between the nittos and the falkens is only $7 per tire so it's not really that much of a difference especially if everything i heard about the nitto's is true

So far, we've had excellent luck with BFG Comp T/As (we run those drag radials too).

Or the Fuzion ZRi for a cheaper, but still good quality tire.  Heard nothing but good things about them.

I'm going to get the new Wide Oval for my car to replace my Kumhos.  Great tire, but a little more pricey (144 a piece for a P275/40R17).

Nitto's may be cheaper (if it's the drag radial we're talking about) but don't expect good wear out of them. They are not daily driver tires, unless you like replacing tires every year and never driving in the rain.

I have Falken zeix 512 and the traction is better than the eagle and the tread wear is good. The tire is also very cost effective. Good luck  with whatever choice you make.

I have 555 Nittos on the front of my car and they are great! STAY AWAY from the Yokohama AVS 1100 though. They look good but suck when it come to traction! That was $260 wasted! Leason learned though!
