I am in a situation where I need to get springs in a hurry for the ThunderChicken. I don't want to spend a lot of money on them now, because I'm planning on doing some serious upgrades in the near future, I just need to get the ride height right and get the car leveled out so we can have it aligned, etc...

I know they're cheap, but are they cheap enough to be a really bad idea?

I don't know who the hell GR-motorsports is. I wouldn't touch 'em. If they're s***ty, doing springs twice is not going to be the most enjoyable part of your weekend. Do it right and get some good brand name ones.

H&R probably.  LOL

It's not in the same weekend... I need to save up for a while because I want to do springs, shocks and struts all at the same time... I just need something for now to get the car to sit right so I can have it aligned and drive it in the mean time.

Ever swapped springs? I would only do it twice if someone had a gun to my head. I hate it.

In a word, yes. Last weekend was one such nightmare... had the springs in and out 3 times that day.

Bah go to hell. I don't mind tearing down a motor 6x in a day, but I can't stand springs. Suspension alone pisses me off. I don't like crawling around under the car. If I had a lift, in my 10 ft. tall garage maybe I wouldn't hate it so much lol.

After doing struggling through my own spring install then watching someone do it who had the correct tools I'd do it again.  It's really not that hard if you have the right spring compressor instead of an ill-fitting Vatozone compressor or a Neanderthal prybar

You don't need a spring compressor on a mustang or any other fox based chassis and as john said if you have the right tools the job can be done in an hour in a garage with two people. I do springs all the time.

That's what we do... but is it a bad idea for me to buy these springs?
