Alright folks this is my first foray into this joint and I have a question.  Am looking to upgrade the 17 inch rims on my '99 Cobra.  Can't find anyone who knows for sure what this car can handle in terms of rim size and tire width.    Am considering 18 or 19 inch rims with 8.5 or 9.0 inch rubber in the front and 10 or 10.5 in the rear.  Anyone out there have experience with this stuff?  Am all ears if you do.  Lay your wisdom on me.

10.5 will not fit on a 99+ cobra because of the IRS. stay with 9" wheel to play it safe. Smiley

you can run a 18x10 in the rear with a 315 35 18 and 18x9 in the front with either a 245 or 255 35 or 45 18 on the front ir you are going to run a h an r spring or a lowering spring at all you are gonna wanna run a 35 series tire if not then go with the 45 it will give your tire a little more flex when you launch ...DADDY ROB

I will be selling my old rims once I am ready to change over.  The rubber is still pretty good so I am going to wear it out a bit more and then change the whole thing over at once.  This might be a good place to put out the "For Sale" sign............

If you go to tirerack.com you can select your vehicle and select the wheel upgrade and then you will get a list of tires that will fit on the back and the front.  Just went through the process, also anyone interested in stock 00 gt wheels tires and other parts let me know!

10.5's will fit with the right offset. I've seen 17x11 wheels in the flesh on a 2003 Cobra.
