Well my rear driver's side tire/suspension is making a pretty noticable THUNK when i go over bumps lately....give me some idea's on what to check...

PS-the shock still looks good but how can i tell for sure that it's not that?

Well, this may sound sarcastic but its not.. Are you sure there is nothing loose in the trunk? Spare or jack stuff?

Can you make it do the noise when bouncing up and down on it?

Yep positive...it's the first thing i always check when i hear noised in the rear.

check your quad shocks or bushings in the lower and upper control arms, last check your shocks,and the rubber bushings,they maybe dry rotted or cracked.

My Cobra used to do that and re-tightening all the control arm bolts eliminated the problem.  With the high mileage on your car, I would also check all the bushings for wear and tear.

Matt checked my car today, bushings were okay.  the control arms were bolted tight too.

He "looks" at it. Tongue  I stopped by yesterday and they were dead so i put my car up on a rack and had him check
