what is a good lowering spring for the front of a 96 mustang GT? i would like to drop it about 1.5 inches that gap looks bad when i put my summer rims on. also i need to replace the shocks on it too, what would be a good street/strip shock to run with? any info would be helpful i don't know much about suspenion parts and the guys at work only know Honduh or RX-7 shizz

When I was installing my spring I thought about doing the shocks as well but I didn't have the coin for it. I believe Gravel said that Bilstein shocks would work well in my fox. I'm sure he can recommend something for your 1996.

For a drag setup, there are better people to give you info than I, all my experience is with setups where you have to use the steering wheel.

hmm i wonder if pete would know? gravel i have BBK progressive lowering springs coming in the mail, i've heard of bilstein but aren't they big $$$$?

I was on summit last night i for the OEM replacement bilstein shock was $63 per

Bilstein are awesome struts/shocks. Put them on my car, night and day difference.

It's been years but I had the Lakewood 73/30 and 50/50 on my old Mustang. Car also had eibach springs, lakewood traction action bars, and Steeda subframe connectors. It didn't do half bad down the 1/8, but was still a comfortable drive on the street.

I used FMS C springs on my '96 all the way around and it sat perfect IMO.

I have mach 1 struts on the front of my 90LX, got them through the ford dealer, several years ago at a real good price.
