Background: car is a street car. I like the twisties, and may occasionally take it to an auto-x or open track, but I like to drag race, too. I'm not going to dump a crapload of money into it to attempt to make it handle like a BMW, because I will never acheive that. At the same time, I'd like to tighten up the handling a tad, and would love the extra room in the engine compartment.
Granatelli or QA1?
Pros/ cons? I like the QA1, because you can use stock suspension geometry or do coilovers, but I haven't been able to find out much about the Granatelli K-Member.
Also, motor mounts? Can I tell looking at them if the stock ones need replaced?

Nothing wrong with the QA1 peice, but Granatelli makes some real nice stuff too. I don't think you'll go wrong either way. As for the motor mounts, they have to be really bad to tell just by looking in most cases. It's one of those things, Car's 10 years old, might as well do it while you're in there.

That's kind of what I was thinking. But at the same point, there are a ton of those types of things. It adds up.

Yep, it sure does, that's why when we changed the motor out of my dad's fox it ended up being darn near 6k by the time we were done. And that's not for a really special motor by any means. The motor is worth more than the car ever will be. This was just a new 306, probe pistons, Eagle rods, new crank, ported GT40p heads, E-cam, Explorer intake, etc engine. By the time all the accessories, belts, hoses, lines, motor mounts, etc, etc, was done it was darn near the 6k mark

Yuck, Chris. That's disheartening. Luckily, I have heads, cam, intake, accessories, and new hoses already. That should cut the cost down a bit.

I just got a D&D k member and a arms, look like really nice pieces, didn't get to put them in yet. Over on the corral you can get k member a arms and coilovers for 600 shipped from brandt racing. Great people to deal with

JR Granatelli comes across as an a**hat every time he posts on the corral. I'd shop elsewhere for that fact alone.

Thanks for the link, Brandon. I called, and couldn't get any answer, and their website is down. It doesn't look like they have one for 94/95s.

I think that he is the only one that is at the shop, and i recall him opening up another shop, and they are split in between both places. plus it is in cali.

Here's a link that might help you Cara. http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=696981&highlight=GranatelliNow don't get me wrong, I'm not saying in any way, shape, or form that Granatelli's a bad company, I just thought you'd like to know what others think. I've never used one of their produts before so me telling you they're junk would be idiotic on my part.

I also run the QA1. Love the fit/quality. If I was to 'build' another car, and need another K member, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another QA1. My.002
