Well guys, we figured out EXACTLY what's causing the hellacious popping on the driver's side of the car. At first we suspected a torque box problem. Thankfulkly, it's not that. Turns out the factory control arm busing has this HUGE rip in it. If it wasn't like 30 degrees, I'd go snap a pic right now. I'm not about buying new bushings.........I wanna do it up right and get a nice set of control arms. What do you all recommend?

If it is on the 95, I have the X2C motorsports LCA's and UCA's and love them both.  Maximum Motorsports has good stuff as well, if not better.

Hope that helped. Smiley

Yep, it's for the '95. I was very impressed with what I've seen/heard about X2C's offerings. However, I thought they went out of business. True?  Huh

I'd go with the Maximum Motorsports also.  Their stuff is made really well.  Great craftmanship.

I've got Southsides on the 89.  We all know how those hook, but can be brutal on torque boxes.  I just purchased a set of Granatelli adjustables to replace them.  The are a heavy duty piece, with a polyurethane bushing on the torque box end and adjustable hiem joint on the axle.

My 86 Vert has Saleen Lowers on it, and they seem to be a heavy duty piece as well.

X2C is still up and running as far as I know.  One more piece of advice - have someone weld all of the pinch welds around the torque boxes solid.  It will help with stregnth. Smiley

Exactly why I'm buying them, too.  I plan on using all similar components, and decided to go with MM, because they have excellent QC!

You can't go wrong with MM Michelle.  Don't waste money on battleboxes.  Like Brian said, weld the factory seams.
