nice. Just be sure to let them settle over a period of a few weeks. If you need an alignment then, go ahead. But be sure to let them settle.

Nick springs don't settle. Also those springs are used anyways but that is besides the point as real springs don't settle.

If you are buying springs that settle you had better find another brand.Smiley

Laura if you ever have a wheel get stuck again all you have to do is losen the lug nuts a turn or two and drive it up and down your driveway or neighborhood street carefully and it will pop loose.Smiley

Thank you, Steve. I can't wait to take her out & take "nice" pics too.  Right now, it's nasty out; that's why the pics are in the garage...

So far, I like them, but haven't gotten to really drive w/them yet because the roads are wet enough to be a problem, but I fully intend to. Wink

For the record, Nick, I am taking her to get the alignment checked & the TOE adjusted on Monday.  Deal

That's one we didn't try... we called like 7 people for help.  Crazy The wheels were rusted really bad to the car; it was HORRIBLE! I don't have any idea why the rust was soo bad, but Matt cleaned a lot of it off before he put the wheels back on & when Joe gets here, we're going to clean them up for real..

The drop should be right at 1.5 inches. Maybe 1.25 at the least.

I can tell you from experience that anymore then that becomes a maintnance nightmare lol.

I wouldn't want any more than 1.5"... that's too low for driveways & speed bumps, etc.  I can tell a difference from the pics that she's lower & I like it!!  Grin

They sure do.
I have done countless spring installs. Everytime I check the initial lowerting after the first drive. I measure. Three to four weeks later, I check again and there is another significant drop. usually between .2 and .4 inch

Looks good Laura... what springs did you get?  Did you get these from Steven (Gravel) or Steve (Mr. Black)  I'm thinking you got a set of H&R Sports from Steven... is that correct?  Steve is right, H&R's don't settle they are the best.  I have H&R Supersports and they did not settle.

Now you're pimpin' girl...   Tongue Wink Dance

Gary they are my used Eibachs from my 89GT. They had about 25k miles on them or so.

I can go out and measure my car with it's different springs in it and the fenders will be within a tenth of install.

My 01 did not settle either.

Let's say for the sake of argument that it did settle 2 tenths it would not effect getting an alignment done.  All they are gonna adjust is toe anyways.   Even though extreme changes in camber on a fox chassis will effect toe a lot a few tenths will not.

She got Eibachs from Mr. Black after he got H&Rs from Gravel, if I understand correctly.

And my Eibach pro-kit springs settled more than 1/4 inch in the front, not so much in the rear after a few weeks.

Don't get me wrong nick and doc. I have heard of a few examples of eibachs settling very minor amounts but a couple tenths is not worth noting really IMO. I have been very lucky with Eibachs and not setteling maybe a tenth or two(this is not what I consider to be setteling really). I have owned four sets of them over the years.

I have also read a few guys that have had eibachs with runaway sagging problems but they were replace by Eibach.

Anyways its all good and laura will be happy.     And we have done a great job of mucking up a perfectly good BAM thread lmao.LOL

Also there are a lot of variables to measuring a car. Just doing it in a different spot in your driveway or shop floor can yeild differences of 2-4 tenths. This I have seen many times but all you can do is blow it off.

Looks great Laura! For the rear tires, just loosen the lugnuts and kick the tire. Worked on my WELL rusted rears on the Exploder when I rotated the tires.
