Got some basic tire questions.

1.  It's always a good idea to get new valve stems with new tires, correct?  If so, are they included on the new tires or do I have to purchase them from the shop that's mounting and balancing the tires?

2.  When I'm having the tires put on my newly paid for rims, do I tell them to just mount and balance them or ask for an alignment too?  Not quite sure if alignment means suspension, or just tires, or both.

And FWIW, I got the 17x9 Satin Steeda Ultralite II's and they will be wrapped around 275/40 Firestone Fire Hawk Wide Oval tires.  And before you all jump down my throat about pics, I take a few this week and post em up.  They sure look shweet. Smiley

Thanks.

1.  Yes get new valve stems.

2.  No, you don't need an alignment unless you have alignment issues already (pulling to the left or right).

I don't have an attitude problem; you have a perception problem.

Sweet, thanks for the info.  I just have one more Q and I should be set.  Is there any difference between rubber and metal vavle stems?  Is it just for looks?  If so, what would look better on Satin rims?

Regarding the pics, ugh.  I forgot to take them when my brother came down so when he comes here, this Tuesday, I'll see if I can get them up.

Nevermind, found out metals are used for tires over 60 PSI.

Looks like I'll be fine with the rubbers.
