I looked through my cars manual and it says to rotate the tires LF to LR, LR to LF, RF to RR, RR to RF. That seems like more of a rotation pattern for directional tires. I've looked over the RE92s on my car and they appear to be non-directional. Why would they recommend a "front to back" rotation versus "fronts to opposite side rear, rears go straight forward" rotation?

Honestly, I have no idea why they would recommend that for a non-directional tire.  If it were my car, I'd rotate the rears straight to the front and cross the fronts back to the rear (see pic).  I would only swap front to back if the tires were directional.  You can also use an X pattern, just move all tires on the diagonal, since both axles are your 'drive' axle.

I'm sure there was a reason Subaru said to do that, I just can't come up with anything.

On second thought, I'd do the second thing I mentioned,
LF <-> RR
RF <-> LR

it's actually (according to goodyear) suppose to be  LF to LR, RF to RR..

My tires are Bridgestone, not Goodyear. I'll take Cara's advice Grin

if it were me i'd go get yourself some drag radials for the rears, and some Z rated fronts.  Then you dont have to worry about rotating them.....well install a line lock do you can rotate em at the track!!

WHOO WHOOOOOOT!
