Well, it's getting to that time where I have to replace all 4 of my rotors/brake pads so I figured this is a good opportunity to upgrade to somthing better. What's your best recommendation (best bang for the buck)?

For you a Cobra swap would be the best bang for the buck! Although I hear the pads can be a bit expensive.. Check the local wrecking yards..

yea i was thinking of getting a cobra upgrade kit for the front and then just buy the rotors and pads for the back.

okay, www.mustangparts.com has the bullitt and cobra kits for $400 + steel front brake hoses for $80. "includes 2 Bullitt( or Cobra) brake calipers with mounting brackets, front brake pad set, 2 brake hoses, and 2 Brembo brake rotors, perfect for 1994-04 Mustangs!, limited quantity, new" TOTAL will be $480 plus shipping. I guess i'll buy the rear rotors and pads separately and leave the stock calipers. Can someone tell me what size rotors my car has in the back?

hey brian, if your friends can get me a better deal on the cobra or bullitt front kit with the steel brake lines + rear rotors/pads, and anything else i might be forgetting, let me know. I kinda want the slotted rotors, and that kit above has plain rotors.

yes, i'm already going with the steel lines and they're both larger 13" discs. I was looking at my car and I think red calipers would stand out waaaay to much anyway. The reason i'm considering them though is because in one of the back issues of 5.0 mustang the Bullitt outperformed both the Mach and the Cobra in braking by a significant margin.

I would say that may be true based on curb weight. The PBR 2 piston calipers work really well specially with slotted and or larger disks.

The Bullitt also has 13" I have the BUllitt Kit on my car simply because I do not want cobra written on my GT.

The Bullitt and cobra kits are the same, with the exception that the cobra caliper has Cobra embossed (cast, then polished). The Bullitt is the same caliper minus the lettering and it is powdercoated red with a pony logo. They are made by PBR, but is differant than the 99+ PBR caliper.
