Didn't see any of that size on tirerack.com. Just figuring out what I want to get for summer tires in the spring. I'm not keeping the 4 banger forever so I'm gonna go ahead and get some decent fat tires.

245/50 in front (correct diameter) and 275/50 out back (4% taller over stock, is the speedo too fast or too slow to begin with?).

7" wide front pony rims for front, 8" for back.

This should be cool right? I want to use the narrowest rim the tire safely fits on because I hate the nasty look with rims sticking out too much. I want to see some fat rubber. Grin

Bridgestone Potenzas or BFGoodrich g-Force KDW look good... what's a good tire for dry, wet, cornering and doesn't have a super gay looking tread and sorta pricey but not too much? These are going to be EXCLUSIVELY summer tires but they do have to be able to handle a bit of mud.

Ray- not sure about who makes the 275/50R16 , but you can fit it on a 7.5-9.5" wide rim, according to T&RA.

And how do you define "super gay looking tread"?  lol  LOL

If you're looking for good, inexpensive summer-only tires, look at the Fuzion ZRi.

lol if you have never seen mud in the summertime I can take you on an adventure or 2. Grin

I think a 45% aspect ratio (275/45) is more appropriate, that should be the correct diameter...

Can always get narrower tires. lol I invented the saying "the wider the tires the shorter the d***" and here I am thinking of trying to squeeze abnormally large tires on a 4 banger mustang.  Blam

What fat tire sizes is everyone using and what tire?
