Now that I'm probably going to get either the Traction T/A, or the Firehawk Wide Oval tires, next up are rims. Is there anything out there you don't see on the everyday stang that really look good? I've been searching and searching but nothing has really caught my eye. The Steeda Ultralite II 18x9.5 look pretty good IMO but I'm still not sure.
Now don't get me wrong, the Cobra R's look sexy as hell any bascially any mustang. I'm just trying to see if there is anything else out there that is worth it, that's all. If not, I'll fall back and get the Cobra R's, I really don't mind.
Also, are they any differences between 17" and 18" rims? I know if you get something like 19" or 20" (which I'm not getting) you'll lose performance, but is that the same case with the 18" rims?
Thanks again all!

Dan, how did your friend get his car up those steps??? I like the Ultralites....But I'm a tad partial to the 95 Cobra R's , my husband likes the Draglites and Torq Thrusts.

Price would be a big consideration for me. Also, you probably don't have to worry about potholes, but whenever you start seeing low aspect ratio tires around here, you start getting broken/ damaged rims.
Also, if you start to go larger than 17s, you will loose ride quality as well. There's just not enough tire to dampen out vibration.
I really like my 10th anniversary SVT rims, but they're not light. They're in the wheel pics thread or you can click the link in my sig to see them on my webpage.

Thanks for the replies; I'm still looking around. Now is it just me, or do these rims look pretty damn sweet? They cost $972 for the whole set, however. I don't know if I want to throw down that much money on just rims but they do look nice, lol.

Take a look at the Steeda Ultralite II's. The kid that bought Phil's old Cobra put some on there and it looks mean as hell.

LOL, I mentioned those in my first paragraph and even PM'd Phil to find out those rims are. They do look pretty sweet. I might go with those if the price is right.

imho, I like the torque thrusts, but if you're going to go with a wheel like that just get the 03-04 bullit wheels... ALOT cheaper..
The Ultra lights are pretty nice too..

Is the 2nd pic the FR500 rims? And is the 3rd one the TTII's?
Don't know what rims the first and last pics have.

Nope. The 2nd pic is the '07 Cobra wheel, brand new. Not the FR500.

Eh, close enough. Now do saleen rims come in a different size then 18's? I was looking at the Hypercoated ones and they look pretty good, but I only saw 18. And thanks for that pic Jessie, that doesn't look half bad either!

I'll be damned...I'll have to check those out as well, lol. Now after really looking at the FR500's, I'm starting to dig em. Of the rims listed here http://www.mustangtuning.com/fr500wheels1.html what do you think would look better on my car? I'm thinking either the chrome, the silver, or the anthracite ones.

Since your car is green, I wouldn't go with chrome. I just don't like the mix. BUT these suckers sure look nice: And don't get black either.

Alright I think I've decided. I think. Either the silver or the antarcide FR500's. I've seen the blacks look good but I don't think my car can pull it off. Side pic of car: Crappy quality, but it provides a visual. EDIT: WTF? Half my message is gone? Lemme add more to it... Of the choices I mentioned earlier, what would look better on my car? The Antarcide or Silver FR500's? I'm not sure about the ultra lite II because the reason I think it looks good on Phil's old car, is because of the Cobra bumper. If I put those rims on, I don't know if my plain ol' GT can look that good.
