Wider is better but make sure it doesn't rub the inner fender well. I am running 275/40's out back on my 89 GT and they rub when cornering so I am installing 1/4" wheel spacers to fix it.

I am going to roll the fenderlip as well, for the little extra space if needed...

Hack up the inner fender and go lowrider style with the tire 3" past the fender lip

Where exactly are they rubbing? We're doing fine with the quads reversed, and a little hammering to the inner wheelwell (the area you can't see). Maybe it would work for you, too?

There rubbing all along the inner fender well. I hammered it some but I guess not enough. The wheel spacers should fix though. I'll have to look at rolling the lip on the fender well as well after the spacers go on. I'll give it another try though.

I just got the spacers in the mail a day or two ago and it has been raining here in Germany. Now my car is going into the shop to have a new top put on it so it will be about a week until I can get them on and see. I will let you know when I do though.
A guy I work with, his friend just had his 2003 Roush Mustang Stage 2 shipped over to Germany. What a sweet looking car!  You can hear that car a 1/4 mile away when he is on the hi-way.  He said he had 4 Germans try to stop him so they could take pictures of it. GOT TO LOVE MUSTANGS!!!!!!!!!
