Vehicle is 2002 GT Conv 5 spd - Bassani cat backs, Griggs underbody stiff, underdrive pullys, cold air intake, 75 mm throttle body, chip, short shifter, stock suspension and rear end, Kumhos 285 rear/245 front.  Gonna buy a supercharger.  Expensive stuff.  Anybody have an opinon on Vortec versus Paxton?  3.73 rear end too?  Anyone else want to tag the VA HP with GPS locators?

in my honest opinion, I would go with vortech.. I've always liked their products over the others... and as far as gears, I would go 410's.

Vortech makes a great blower.Ive been beating on mine for over 8 years now.The modular Mustangs need gear to get the heavy body moving, but while 3.73 or 4.10s might be great for a n/a car sometimes they are too much for a blown car.It would be great if you could drive someones car that has those gears so you could feel them for yourself but thats not always possible. Also will this car be a daily driver?Go on long trips?Alot of gear can get on your nerves on the expressway.

I don't think gear will be a problem on a mod motor as far as freeway goes.. My buddy had a 99 gt with 410's and the thing was great on the highway.. rpm's weren't much higher then mine and I have a fox with 373's.

I had a Vortech on my '96 GT and I decided to go with 3.73's in the rear.  4.10's might be a little much for a blown car.

I have 3.73s in my car.But they were there long before the blower. Now the car is uncontrollable on the street.Just spinning your tires gets old real quick. If I had to do it all over again I dont think I would have gone as low.But Im not as heavy and I have a pushrod motor. If the rpms dont bother you go for the 3.73s.The seat of the pants feel is great. I have 3.73's in my Vorteched 2000 GT and I love them.  But as others said, 4.10's may be a little much.
