Still in the designing stages so I don't yet have all the answers.  Am going thru a major learning curve doing this.  It's gonna be more of a street/autocross set-up.  I have both a 6 and an 8 psi pulley.  Figure I'll start with the 6 and work my way up.  Ought to be interesting what this thing will do for this old POS vert.     Evil

Yep!  It's supposed to be perfect for stock everythings on a Fox.  Bolt up and go.  Comes with an FMU, which I'm not going to use.  Debating to go with 30's, or 42's.  That's an Accufab 70mm combo bolted to it.

I would have liked to have gone for a GT-40 lower but for what I was going to use this car and the limits I'm going to put on it, I decided to just keep the stock lower.  Will probably get it opened up some.

Being sorta on a budget, I figured I could put that money towards somethng else.  Still in the planning stages though.    Wink

John,
Congrats! Good choice! That's what we're putting on the '95 this winter. Jerry's '95 already has one (spoiled brat!). You're gonna love it. He's running stock heads, throttle body, mass air meter, and a stock lower intake. He has 24# injectors, and a 155 lph fuel pump to support 8 psi. It's been that way for almost 9 years, and it just NOW needs a head gasket. The sick part is, with the stuff above, I had my ass handed to me with my H/C/I '95 that was running high 12s. Word of advice.......go easy on the gears. He has 3.55s, and all that car wants to do is spin. The torque is insane!

Has he ever dynoed it?

It's looking like I'll be running this blower on top of a Keith Craft 306, about 8.5:1 compression.  AFR 165's.  I am now swaying more towards the 30's.  Another guy is running 30's and is able to keep it a little rich and on the safer side, of course losing just a little bit of HP.

I called Pro-M and they said they calibrate their mass-airs 12% rich for supercharged applications running 24#'s or more.  So I will probably be safe with the 30's and a 255 in-tank pump.  The meter will not be the bullit, but actually will be the Pro-M ATI meter.  They recommended it over the bullet because it's sensor is located in the center, to better deal with the turbulance in the air caused by the bend of my cold air kit just before it.  They say that if I was running a cone straight off my meter, the normal bullet would have been sufficient with the sensor up on the top side.  This ATI meter will have the six pin connector, which I will only use four of the wires.  The other two are temp sensors, used for later model Mustangs.  Won't see anything more than 9 psi.

And then there's the gears.  I will try these 3:55's out for a few weeks, but I really do see myself reinstalling the 3:27's I had in here before.  I'll like the torque, not having to go thru the gears so fast, traction, and of course lower RPM's at highway speeds with the 3:27's, not to mention a bit more top end without having to wind the motor out.

I'll keep everybody posted, but it looks like I'll be ordering the motor in a few days.  Can't wait!!!!     Tongue

That looks sweet!  My advice on the injectors is go with the 42's now instead of having to upgrade later.  Just my .02

John,
He has never had the car dynoed. Oh! If you haven't already done so, you're gonna need to get a chip. His ran fine on 5 psi without the chip. However, with 8 psi, it began "nosing over" until he got the chip. Just something you may wanna look into. BTW, use Nev-R-Dull on the polished part of the blower. Cleans it up REALLY nice. Smiley

That's what I ended up going with.  I already have the Pro-M ATI meter as well as the injectors.   Gonna run an intank 255 pump.

I'll be driving it mainly on road courses and autocross tracks.  Not to mention the street.  Won't see alot of action over 5500 rpm, and will have a ton of low-end torque to pull me between cones.  Keith Craft says his 306's make 400 hp normally aspirated all day long, figures I could see close to 500 at the flywheel easily.

I'll just settle for the torque.    Grin

Thanks!  I appreciate the positive feedback!    Smiley

I decided to powdercoat my lower intake manifold.  It goes in on Tuesday, along with several other parts and brackets off the motor, like the A/C bracket and all the pulleys.  So it will be some time before I actually get it all together into one piece and running.  However, the motor will be here next week and I'll get most of it installed except the manifold up.  I'll be ordering the long tubes and motor mounts Monday.

Here are the valve covers I'll be puting on, along with the water neck and the new ARP hardware to replace all the older rusty s***.  I'm just trying to do it right, no matter how long it takes.   Like I said before, even if it runs like s***, at least it will look good.    Grin

Nice shiny parts John.  You can grind the inside of the valve cover and/or run double gaskets to get some clearance.  On my BBC Merlin heads, I had to round off the corner of two rockers where they interferred with the valve cover bolt bosses.  Damn valve covers also interfere with my stud girdles.

I had basically the same covers, which cleared my scorpion rockers.  One word of advise....WATCH THE TORQUE ON THOSE VALVECOVER BOLTS!~  I cracked the passenger side one which then created an oil leak on my clutch.  Fubared a clutch.........talk about pissed off Sad

Good.  I've got 30's and a 190 in-tank, and she's well fed.  I have 3.55s as well.  You don't need anything steeper with this car.

Are the valve covers any taller than stock?  My trickflow valve covers didn't fit under the 2200 and manifold.  I had to use the stock ones and hammer them out and remove part of the baffle.

No, Cara, they are pretty much the same as stock.  I knew taller covers would cause problems with the blower, and I was sure to go with a cam that ran with 1.6 rockers, so they would easier clear the shorter covers.

Let's just hope it works.   Smiley

John, if you plan on autocrossing it you might consider having Kenne Bell install a bypass valve to disipate later down the road.  I don't know how crucial it is but that might be something to bring up with KB.
