RECENTLY INSTALLED VORTECH S-TRIM WITH A 3.33" PULLEY AND THE SUPPLIED 12:1 FMU UNIT  TO MY '91 GT 5SPD. THE CAR HAS ONLY 30K MILES ON IT. BESIDES THE S-TRIM MY ONLY MODS ARE BBK CERAMIC COATED 1 5/8" EQUAL LENGTH HEADERS, BBK 2 1/2" CATTED H-PIPE W/FLOWMASTER FORCE 2 KIT. I  HAVE ALSO RELOCATED THE FACTORY MASS AIR UNIT INSIDE THE INNER FENDER WITH A K&N FILTER FOR A DENSER & COOLER SUPPLY OF AIR. I HAD 3.55'S INSTALLED AS WELL AND TRIED TO PREPARE FOR ANY TRACTION WOES WITH A SET OF NITTO DRAG RADIALS. THE CAR REALLY PULLS STRONG NOW ESPECIALLY AFTER 3200 RPM AND THE DRIVEABILITY IS GREAT AS WELL. BUT JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE I WANT EVEN MORE POWER, SO IM LOOKING AT INSTALLING A GT40 OR COBRA INTAKE W/65MM TB,GT40 TURBO SWIRL'S (64CC) OR AFR 165'S AND A PRO M BULLIT MASS AIR METER, I REALIZE THESE ARE SOME OF THE MILDER HEADS ON THE MARKET BUT I WANT TO KEEP AS MUCH LOW END POWER AS POSSIBLE AND NOT CREATE IDLE OR DRIVABILITY ISSUES. SOFINALLY (BET YOU THOUGHT I'D NEVER GET TO IT!) HERE'S MY QUESTION. WHAT SIZE INJECTORS SHOULD I USE FOR THIS COMBO? I WAS THINKING THES MODS SHOULD PRODUCE AROUND 360~375 HP AT THE CRANK, MAYBE A BIT MORE. I WAS LOOKING AT 30 OR 36 LB INJECTORS WITH A 8:1 DISK IN THE FMU. THERE ARE SO MANY CONFLICTING STORIES OUT THERE AND I'M A LITTLE OVERWHELMED BY IT ALL. SOME HAVE EVEN SUGGESTED LOSING THE FMU ALLTOGETHER AND STEPPING UP TO EVEN LARGER INJECTORS. HELP... PLEASE ! AND JUST FOR LAUGHS BEFORE THE VORTECH THE CAR RAN 13.70'S@97~98MPH AND AFTER THE VORTECH IT RAN A 14.01@ 108 & 14.13@109 MPH,:MAYBE I SHOULD LEARN HOW TO DRIVE IT BEFORE ADDING ANY MORE POWER . firstly...turn off your caps lock button

I would go with 42# injectors if you plan on adding heads, cam and an intake. With an adjustable fuel system, you can tone them done to pump out only what you need. They are not going to be overkill. 36#'ers may work, but if you ever upgrade the motor, you're going to need to replace them again at the low cost of $200+.

My current fuel system is stock w/ the exception of a 190L in tank pump and a T-rex auxillary pump with the Vortech FMU w/12:1 disk installed. If i choose 42#'s do i need to keep the FMU or remove it alltogether and rely on an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Will this have a negative effect on driveability (ie: car running very rich at idle)? Thanks for your help! Banging head on wall

Keep the FMU. The 190 pump you have in there might not meet demands either, definitely consider an upgrade. It would meet the demands of a 360rwhp motor car, but not a 360rwhp blown car.
