I've had nothing but problems with them the last couple days.    Here's their latest f***up:

Instructions on top, parts list of what was delivered to me in the middle, and the parts at the bottom.

 Banging head on wall

Looks like another trip to lowes in the morning.

Now I don't think the main bolts holding the bracket to the head are going to work either.  This has been, and will continue to be one clusterf*** of a project.  Then to top things off, the bracket that hold the powersteering it some "custom" homemade piece of crap, and I have no freakin' clue how the alternator is suppose to  fit in there.  At this point, I hate to say it, but I'm 99% sure this car won't be done friday like I said it would be. Sad

I took several pics tonight, but here's the one that shows the paths of the new power steering lines I'll be picking up tomorrow.

No I don't smoke, but cigarette box was found in the garage(left by my roommates) but placed there to show the clearance between the power steering pump, and the waterpump.  I uploaded the pics to my laptop, and am taking it with me so the shop that makes the lines.  Hopefully the pics I took will be ensure a line that fits correctly.

TRUST me, the owner hears that ALL the time.  I could start a vortech install right now, and be doing burnouts in 3-4 hours.

That's why I recommend Vortech over all others, among other things (price, reliability, etc.)

Getting a lot closer, head unit is on, oil lines are hooked up, powerpipe it raun, tubing it hooked up to the intercooler, etc.  I'll have more pics later.  Long story short, after a phone call to the guy who sold this to my friend, OVER A YEAR AGO, we find out a march alternator bracket is required.  Its ordered from summit, and that SHOULD be the last, last minute part.  Total cost of last minute items is around $350.

Another part arrives, and now yet another part is needed.  I'm off for a 25 mile drive to a ford dealer who happens to stock a 93 Cobra water pump pulley.

Now I'm even more pissed!  Their web site says their parts department is open until 7pm.  Thats why I went there.  I got there, and they were closed at 5:45, and the door said they closed at 5:30.  Up above I said I was stuck in traffic(because I was) but also because one of the guys I talked with said I must have read wrong online.  WRONG, it clearly says till 7pm: http://www.donreidford.com/Parts.asp

I'm going to write the manager an email.  It would be nice if he could have it over to a ford dealer near me, not an hour away, but I doubt he can do that on a one day notice.  Looks like I'll probably be driving back up there tomorrow.

That's definitely shady that they closed up shop early.

I'll bet if you went to the nearest Ford dealer and told them what happened they could, or maybe I'm just spoiled by the one I deal with. The parts guy gives me a discoount and orders parts emergency so I usually have them the next day.

...and of course one of the bolts in the alternator kit doesn't want to go into the head.

Thats the thing though, I don't want next day, I wanted the part today.  Tomorrow will have to do, but I don't feel like waiting an extra 24 hours to simply save a little gas.
