After ONE week of driving the Kenne Bell is spewing blower oil out the front snout again!


f*** this, I'm sending this piece of s*** BACK to Kenne Bell for ANOTHER rebuild and while it's gone I'm throwing my stock intake back on the car and selling the Kenne Bell when it comes back.

KB just emailed me back and said that they are absolutely stumped.  They want to send the unit back to Autorotor for examination and are willing to replace my unit with a "slightly used" unit.  I'm really bummed right now because by this time next week I'll be a completely stock N/A car Sad 

To bad whipple doesn't make a unit for fox bodies.

Stock.  The blower is the only thing left on the engine that's aftermarket.  When I replace it I will have a 100% bone stock engine with an exhaust.

I'm also going to ask for a freshly rebuilt unit.

How horribly disappointing.  Maybe a little nitrous is the way to go. 

I wish I could send you some e-horsepower to cheer you up.  I'd even let you borrow some of mine.

I'm not really a big fan of nitrous to be honest so I'll probably buy Tom's old GT-40 iron heads, a Summit cam, and find a used intake somewhere.  I plan on starting to look for supercharger kits this weekend but I don't think I'll be able to afford one since I don't want to spend any more than what I sell the KB for.  Yeah I'm really bummed but I'm tired of wasting my money with Kenne Bell.  $500 a year for the past few years has really put me in the hole and I'm tired of it.

Are you planning on doing the H/C/I yourself?  That's going to be pretty time consuming.  If you lived closer, I'd let you borrow a car for a week and come help out.

Yeah I planned on doing it myself.  That's still a ways down the road though.

I still don't know what I'm going to do.  I'd really like to find a Vortech or something and toss that on to the stock engine and call it a day.  I was looking at turbo kits but they are ubber expensive.  Who knows, I still have the tranny to pull next weekend and I still need to replace the 9" so it may very well stay stock for a while.

Throw a novi 1000 on.  My friends 91gt with it and 4.10 gears ran a consistant 12.9@ 105

I think you will be much happier with a vortech setup. I also don't think you will have a problem getting rid of that KB setup. Grin
