That's Me! It is still in process, though. It was all custom done, intercooler included. The bad part is that I have a 3lb core loss through the intercooler without a power pipe. I find that this intercooler works better than any I have ever seen, though. Example: driving interstate for about an hour at 80-85 mph then exiting to surface streets I can watch the temperature drop about two and a half needle widths in about 15 minutes. The power pipe will probably go on this weekend, hopefully. Depending on where that puts me will depend on whether I get a new pulley or not. I am aiming for 8-9 psi and just a tad under 400 rwhp on the stock shortblock. I will post pics after the weekend since I have to get under the car anyways.

All depends on how much boost you plan on running with the S-trim. My husband ran 8 psi on stock 9:1 compression for 8 years. When he pullied it for 10 psi, it blew a head gasket a short time later. As long as you don't go crazy with boost, you'll be ok, just be sure to have the proper fuel upgrades.

Thanks, Michael. It was around 3300, all said and done, but it took a little more to make the fuel system operate without being hella rich at low rpms, and detonating on the top end. My little secret is I took my first Mechanical Engineering job for the 3k signing bonus, even though I knew I didn't want to work there for more than a year. It is sooooooo much fun on the street - that's why I built it that way!

How often do you drive that street beast around? I know in your sig it says you have an F-150 for your daily driver but do you just take the GT out when the weather is nice and all? I'll say it again, your car looks killer!

Did you say you're waiting for your motor to be finished before you put it on? How often do you drive that street beast around? I know in your sig it says you have an F-150 for your daily driver but do you just take the GT out when the weather is nice and all?
Thanks! Right now, the in the winter, my insurance is fire/theft only, but when it's nice out, I drive it. She doesn't like salt on her chassis.

Just a little aluminum headed 302 with a paxton. 175k miles on the shortblock. Heads probably 100k. Still running incredibly strong.

Anywhere from 6 to 12 depending on how I pulley it. I usually change boost around two times a year for conditions and track duty.

Oh okay cool. How do you like so far? I know you said it is still running incredibly strong but was the main reason you went with that kit then the traditoinal Vortech or even a twin screw design? I'm not try to poke into why, I would just like some feedback so when I make my power adder decisoin, I'll be more informed. Thanks Steve.

Well I have had the thing for 3 years and it has served me well. I went with the paxton because a buddy of mine used to be a distributor for them on the west coast.
If I do another blower it will be a kenne bell for the 01GT when that car replaces the 89GT for my daily driver duties.
If you are not gonna race the car much I would go with the kenne bell.

Although my car came stock with a blower, I got rid of it and added my own "mega power adder"(so I guess it counts). I opted for the Whipple SC, and while I was at it I also installed some JE pistons (the stock cobra pistons are the weak link on the 03/04 Cobra's).
