Something else I just thought of ... If anyone needs a place to stay, I have room for two people at my house (one on the couch and one on the recliner). I'll have a space for a third person if that person has one of those inflatable beds - they can put it down in my computer room. Just understand, though, that you'll have to park your cars under a large oak tree (that sometimes likes to drop a branch on top of mustangs!  ) which means there is a good chance you'll find bird poop on your car. |

Here is the website for Lake Monroe Park: http://www.stjohnsrivercountry.com/do/outdoor/parks/moreinfo.php?ZID23=15677&ListingFormat=rec&ClassID=5I chose this park as opposed to Gemini Springs because, even though there is no swimming facilities at Lake Monroe Park, there also is no admission fee and there is electricity at the pavillion (at no extra charge). So, we can have a radio for music. Gemini Springs has a swimming area (that has been closed for health reasons every time I've been there) and they charge $3.50 per car (up to 8 people in the vehicle). Plus, they only had electricity available at an extra charge in their small pavillion. Lake Monroe Park has a volleyball court - if anyone has a volleyball, please bring it. Also, bring coolers and ice for your beer or whatever you want to drink (if it's something other than soda or water). |
