Hi, just wanted to say I would love to join in on this meeting ... if anyone pass me a ticket from Frankfurt to Orlando ?!?!  Anyway, we will be back in the USA in mid-september - not Florida this time, after four trips in 2.5 years it is time for something new. We will arrive on September 16 in L.A. - then going for a round-trip via Palm Springs, Scottsdale, Grand Canyon, Moab, Vegas Baby, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, San Rafael, all the way down on US-1 back to L.A. I will post details a few weeks prior to our departure and maybe we will be able to meet a few more BAM freeks geeks ? |

As of now, here is the agenda for our get together (and I will add your name to the attendee list! ) Morning - Putt putt golf at Congo River in Altamonte Springs. Cost is $8.95 pp plus tax www.congoriver.com Afterward - some want to go paintballing - I still don't have any info on this. I've never gone paintballing, so I don't know what it costs, but whereever y'all go, it needs to be in Seminole County. (Altamonte Springs / Sanford area) Afternoon - those of us not going paintballing will be headed to Lake Munroe Park to set up for a ccokout. It's BYOB on beer (must be in cans, NO glass bottles are allowed in the park - no hard liquor is permitted either). Thos who went paintballing will join us at the park when they are finished. Evening - cruise to Perfection Performance's cruise-in at Donato's on Lake Underhill Drive. This is a restaurant, so you can get food if you're hungry. There is no charge to attend the cruise in. Late Evening - after the cruise-in (ends at 9 p.m.), if anyone is interested, I thought we could go shoot pool at Calico Jacks. They charge by the hour for the pool tables, so the cost is something we'd have to work out once there. EDIT: I'm going to need eveyone to help pay for the food/drinks/pavillion for the cookout. The final cost pp will depend on how many people show up. Right now, I'm thinking about $20 per person (however, I doubt it will end up being that much since the menu is going to be kept simple) StangDan - I added you to the list of Possible Attendees. |

I am going. I told my boss to expect me to be extremely sick that day... and that I will probably be feeling so ill the day before that I will need to leave early . I think he understood what I was talking about... but he said I need to make it look good  . So I'm in . Actually, I wouldn't have a problem with that. Set me next to a grill with a cold beer in hand and I'm a happy puppy... Actually, that is a good idea ... both the part about those of us who won't paintball setting up at the park ... and the cold beer! The park we are going to does allow beer in cans. Also, I just received confirmation that Perfection Performance's cruise-in for July will be on the 23rd. Once I have a better count of who's coming & how many vehicles, I'll let them know. Shoot! We may even be able to recruit some new BAM members from that club! Something else to think about - how much is this going to cost? Well, putt putt is $8.95 pp (probably plus tax, too), the pavillion will be $37 (I'll put up the $25 refundable cleaning deposit), and then there's the cost of the food and sodas for the cookout. Everyone should supply their own beer or wine. I have no idea how much paintball will cost. And, of course, there is no charge to participate in the cruise-in. I'll need to know how many people will be attending so that I can work out a realistic food budget. So, plan on paying for putt putt and/or paintball and your beer or wine. It would be nice if everyone would chip in a few dollars toward the pavillion rental and then probably between $5 & $10 for food. And, don't forget about gas for your cars! The cruise-in will be at Donato's, which is a pizzeria type restaurant, so if you're hungry, you can get something to eat there. Does this sound fair to everyone? this all sounds great, Robin.....let me know how much to send or bring since i am out your way every week. |
