EDITED to put the Agenda right here on the front page: Saturday, July 23rd
Agenda: morning - Congo River (putt putt golf) early afternoon - some folks want to go paintballing, but I haven't gotten any information together on that yet afternoon - cook out at Lk Munroe Park early evening - caravan to Perfection Performance's cruise-in at Donato's evening - shoot pool at Calico Jacks (if anyone is interested in that)
I'm still working on where to have everyone meet up in the morning ... once I get that figured out, I'll post the information.
Here is a list of who is definitely coming: Robin Joe (speedfreak87) Chris Wilson (and family!) Chris (ELB RAcing) Don (Rice) (ronrico694u) Cara (Got Torque?) Mark (mxf2x ) TOTAL: 10 Possible attendees: Chad (just say n20) Kevin (Kevins89notch) Chowder Brad (Snaps) (will know for sure Friday evening)

One of our members has asked for something between the 16th and 22nd of July. The only weekend days during that time frame are the 16th (Saturday) and the 17th (Sunday). I'd like to arrange something for those of us in Florida (and anyone else who wants to drive down or fly in) on one of those days.
1. Who will show up? 2. Which day is better for you? 3. Any ideas on where to go? **Sunday afternoon in Daytona doesn't work too well - the town is rather dead then.
- A beach outting? - Does anyone know if the track down at Bradenton has test-n-tune on Saturday nights? Orlando Slipperyworld runs on Friday nights, so going there is out. - Would you prefer a cruise through the countryside and with a final destination somewhere to get dinner / have drinks?
If need be, we could also do it on 23rd or 24th if it is ok with everyone. My family will just have to wait a couple more days for me to drive home. I would hate to miss out on BAM gathering plus I would have picked up my Stang from the port by then.

I'd go but I'm already taking the entire week off previous to that week. Heading to Gravel's and then coming back and heading to Michelle's for FFW.

http://www.bradentonmotorsports.com/event-E-Flyers/rundaySunday/index.htmlWell, it looks as though Bradenton has an all day run event on Sunday, July 17th; it goes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. And, it looks like it's only $10 to spectate or $15 to run your car. Anyone want to do this? If so, we'll need to figure out a place and time to meet so that we can caravan to the track. I am open to other ideas for something to do, so don't be shy about suggesting anything.

Cool beans! Looks like this is going to turn out even better than our "meet and greet" last April! So, to get things back on track - I need some suggestions as to what y'all would like to do. And to be perfectly honest, if it were left up to me, I'd skip going to Bradenton on the 17th. The reason is that most of our Florida members are from either Central or North Florida - it would be difficult for those coming in from NoFL to meet early enough to caravan to the track. Plus, as much as I like drag racing, I really don't care for the idea of spending an entire day at the track.

Don't you have to be 21 to gamble here?
I'm certain that on of the Jax guys' girlfriend is under 21 - I'd hate to exclude her from this gathering.
Then again, does SunCruise still operate? IIRC, that's a gambling cruise "ship." But they were out of St Pete or Sarasota; if we decided to go on a gambling cruise, I'd rather go out of Pt Canaveral. *If* something like that even exists over there.
The 16th is the 3rd Saturday of the month. The Mid Florida Mustang Club has a (smaller) cruise-in up in Orange City that Saturday night. The last time I went to that one, it was at the Bob Evans restaurant just off I-4, and there isn't really anything to do there other than eat. I'd have to check out their website to see if they still have that cruise in and where.
However, I do know that the following Saturday, Perfection Performance will be holding their monthly cruise-in over on the east side of Orlando. They have a much better turnout than the Orange City cruise in. So, that's something to keep in mind if we want to wait until the 23rd.
Wht my thinking is, on either of these days, is to get together early in the afternoon & maybe play some mini golf then go to a park somewhere for a cook out. Then we could all caravan to the cruise-in; if we wait until the 23rd, we could go shoot some pool afterward. (I don't know of any pool halls up in Orange City)
Thoughts on these ideas? C'mon, Ya'll! Give me some feedback here!

Some sort of park where we could cook out at, show off the cars (so to speak), shoot the bull, and maybe car pool somewhere and have some fun sounds good.

I forgot about Old Town! I've only been there once, but it was pretty cool. There are several little shops there.
Chris Wilson could probably verify this, but I think they have the classic car show on Saturday nights ... if that's the case, they won't let us join them.

On sat nights it classic and on fri nights it's anything. Plenty of places to do some golf, get lunch/dinner. Anybody up for a water park?
I can do some paintball.
