No.  I should have taken David's advice.  I don't have a clutch disk yet.

Call SPEC directly, tell them what is going on. Their customer service is pretty good, at least it has been for me. I've never had issues with any of the three SPEC clutches I've bought, I even sent one back for refurbishing, way cheaper then buying a whole new one.

Not yet.  Still waiting on the clutch.  I should get it tomorrow.  I plan on working on the car all day Saturday, Chris is going to come over and help in the afternoon, so I can get the trans, driveshaft, etc... in.  Deal

Alright, I need help here.  I got the clutch disk back and it still doesn't fit.  I am thinking it might be the wrong disk, like we initially suspected.  Anyone know a way to ID the clutch?  There are two imprints on it... one says TZ-10023 and the other says TZ-10000.  I googled these and got no hits.

Please help, I'm so frustrated.

I need help ID'ing my clutch disk.  I want to see if it is the wrong part for the T5.

http://www.badassmustangs.com/forums/index.php/topic,21743.new.html#new

The numbers on it are TZ-10023 and TZ-10000, but I am not sure those are the P/Ns.

I did try to ask on their website, but I assume they won't get it until Monday.

The clutch still won't fit on the alignment tool, either.

I think I have another spec clutch in the garage, if I do I'll post the number up.

Cara,
Box the whole assembly up and send it back to them.

I'll call them and have it taken care of.  I can be a bit more, persuasive, than you can.

After all, this is all my fault.  Let me fix it.

The cover is a bit scratched up from trying to get the bellhousing/ transmission on.  I have no issue with that or the pressure plate, they seem to fit fine, but I'll do just that.

Thank you.

If memory serves the diameter appeared to be too small, spline count was right, but just wouldn't go on the shaft.

I just talked to Jeremy from SPEC, he was super helpful over the phone, and gave me a few suggestions.  He said they did test fit the disk over an input shaft ordered from Ford, and it fit.  He suggested the previous owner might have changed the input shaft for some reason.  I am going to check this out tonight.

A little research:

http://www.moderndriveline.com/Technical_Bits/t5_history.htm

1994 and 95 were the last two years Ford used the T-5 behind a V-8.  With the introduction of the SN95 Mustangs, the bell housings in both 3.8L and 5.0L were made deeper to place the T-5 shifter in the correct location to the body.  This in turn made the input shaft longer.  The neutral safety switch was eliminated, as it was no longer needed. The GT 5.0L Mustangs received the standard input shaft bearing and aluminum bearing retainer, where the Cobras continued with the tapered or "cupped bearing" input shaft and steel front bearing retainer.  Torque ratings for both remained the same as the 93 T-5 models.  4 cylinder T-5s were no longer needed when the 3.8L V6 motor came along and was replaced with 3.35 first gear ratio and a .68od. The only difference between the 3.8L and standard 5.0L T-5 was the input shaft length. Changing input shaft of the 3.8L T-5 with 93 input shaft, will result in a 93 and early spec T-5.  Everything else remained the same.

Looks possible that either the input shaft or the disk are for a Cobra.

I read that completely differently than you do. The difference they are speaking of is the bearing that retains the input shaft in the front of the case, they are not speaking anything of the splines on the shaft in that statement.
