Yeah, but something is different on the tailshaft IIRC.  You have to swap that out for it to be right.

Actually, I don't think there is a difference.  The 99 and newer cars have an electrically driven speedo, but that's about the only thing.  Everything else should be the same. Deal

There is something different with the tailshaft.  I don't remember exactly what, but there is something different.  Might not be a big issue, but I know that when I was looking for trannys, my cobra-guru buddy Dan was specific that something was different.

are the 96-98 gt and cobra trannies the same thing other than the tailshaft? or are the cobra t-45s built up more?

different gearing? etc
