Does the starter run from fused power or is it essentially straight from the battery.  It would make sense to me if it was fused, but didn't know.

I am putting in a battery relocation kit, and it would b much easier to run the battery to the starter first, but I'm thinking it should go through the fuse box before going to the alternator.

The starter runs to the solenoid. Like this:

12V --> |Solenoid --> Starter
            |
            V
     Other 12V items

Non-fused
