Quiet Mufflers that flow decently
«

I realize this is a very odd question from a Mustang owner, but I want to replace my annoyingly loud and droning Flowmaster mufflers with something quite a bit quieter... i.e. not a chambered exhaust.
I'm thinking Dynomax ultra flo (fibreglass packed, but straight through) would be a good choice for my Mustang, with all the air flowing through it. I know the flow numbers look good, anyone have experience with the sound quality/ level of these mufflers?
Anything has to be an improvement at this point.

Good choice, I have them on mine, and have already bought them for the 88GT. At regular cruise they are very quiet, yet respectably loud at full throttle. I think I have a video or two you can check out. I'll find it and put the link up.

I've heard great things about the Dynomax Ultra Flows. Like if anyone wanted quiet sounding mufflers, those would be THE mufflers to get.
If you're looking for something quiet throughout the revs, I think you'll be happy with the Ultra Flow's.

Also heard good things about the Super Turbos. Might want to check them out as well.

I was looking at the 3 chamber flowmasters at one point. They sound good (on their website) but never had any "real world" experience with them.

I have a buddy that has an Ultraflo on his truck. Nice and deep, but still kind of loud inside. I think I know where there's a car with Magnaflow's you can listen to.

If you don't want to go to a completely different setup, replace one of the Flowmasters you have now with a 3 chamber 50 series. Still sounds awesome but little to no drone and no where near as loud.

Cara, I *think* I have one of those 3 chamber 50 series Flowmasters in my basement. I'll take a look at it and if that is in fact what it is, you can have it if you want it. What size inlet/outlet do you have?
