Ok, so the GT is all straightened out. It will finally be test driven tomorrow. Here's the deal....
After changing the thermostat, purging the cooling system, and going through constant hours of troubleshooting, the culprit of the "fan not kick on" problem has been identified. It is the CCRM, or constant control relay module.
Let me just tell you HOW retarded Ford Motor Company is. They make a box with 24 pins......two rows of 12. This box controls your electric fan, fuel pump, A/C, heater and a few other things. One of those can crap out. Can you replace just that relay? No, friends........you can go buy a new box for $200 or so.
However, we decided to bypass the fan portion of the CCRM by wiring the fan to come on with the key and run constantly. Ya know how the temps got up to the "L" in NORMAL? Now it sits pretty at the "O".
So.........right now, Ford, their engineers, and CCRMs can kiss my ass. My car runs!!!!!
