I turn the key to start my stang and here "CLICK" (I think it's the sound of the starter post?) and it doesn't start. A few weeks ago(or more) I installed a new mini starter and everything was working great. I did however notice that the start post studs have a lot of stuff on them now. (Just added elec. fan, mini starter). If I jump the 2 posts it starts right up, every time.

Thoughts?

Note: If it is the starter post, do you guys know where I can get one with longer studs? (At least the 12v side)

Pull off the top wire, the one that is insulated, and jump it with +12v. If it starts, you have a problem with the ignition switch or wiring. If it does not start, you have a failed solenoid. Smiley

as long as the nut is threaded all the way on, there should be no problem. You really don't need anything special for the solenoid since it does not do much of s*** in a Mini setup... Hell, you could get away with a decent relay and just install a power junction box for the other wires...
