I need to replace my crappy looking headlight assemblies but don't want to install ones that are going to do the same thing in 5 years..

There is a bunch of companies doing it, which ones are the best? Do any actually make the lens out of glass??

Thanks ALL for any input!!!

I'm also looking for a new set. I rather get a set that doesn't "fog" like the factory ones. Cheesy

nobody makes glass ones. If you want the best plastic ones, get a new OEM set. They last about 5 years. http://www.mustangparts.com has them for about $60 each, IIRC.

$69.99 a set! Go to http://www.mustangparts.com and click the "new products" link at the top left corner. They are at the bottom of the list.

I wetsanded my stockers and then polished them with a wheel.  It will buy me some time.

I think there is some pics in the corral gallery of the finished product.

Glass?! LOL

I bought a 6 pc. set and never regreted (sp) it.
When you buy new headlights, dont forget to get new rubber seals too, they on top of the lights.

I scuffed my original rubber seals with a scotch brite pad and painted them with trim paint from Late Model Restoration Supply. They look like new.

We bought a 6 piece set from Late Model Resto for our old '91. What a difference. They seemed to be awful close to the originals, except the tabs and stuff seemed a little flimsy. Not that I broke them or anything, but it's just a visable difference when holding the two pieces side by side. The kit worked out really nice. It was pretty cheap, too.
