I gotta say, I love this car.  Overall its the best car i've ever owned and I'd recommend it to anyone.  It's crazy fun to drive, the amount of stares and thumbs up I get.  You can't beat pulling into a porsche dealer and having a guy walking out of the service area and hearing him say 'That's SWEET!'  Grin   I talked to a guy today who approached me randomly and was blown away by the GT, ended up talking for about 20 minutes and he offered to buy mine for 3,000$ over what I paid!!  Shocked  I turned him down, but referred him to the dealer I got mine at.  Most of the dealers he's spoke with said they wont have any GT's until June/July (V6's everywhere).  Thats the main reason for this post.  What's going on with the GT's?  I read they settled the lawsuit issue with the MYcolor option,  is it just too great a demand at this point?  I'm not really complaining since my GT is the one of only 2 in the area (that i've seen) so it really gets attention.  When will the 05 GT start to be commonplace on the streets? Thanks!

What color did you get?  I have owned my GT for one week now with nearly 800 miles already.  I agree, at 40- best car I have ever owned, not only in terms of an investment- but pure fun and living- Highly recommend vehicle.

Thats the jist of it, it's been settled but I think it set back alot of peoples delivery dates.  Now i'm just wondering why there arent more GT's on the lots around here....you'd think with the warmer weather coming they'd be flooded with em. Somethings strange.... Undecided

From what I've heard from a Ford sales rep, the GTs are going to be limited in production.  I know that where I live there are definitely more V6s than there are GTs.  And I also noticed that most of the colors they have on the lots are white, mineral gray, and silver.

I really love my Mustang. I have the windveil blue, with 17" AR wheels. I love my wheels and tires. I just wished they would have put 255/50s instead of 235\45s on them. My V6 came with the 17's as part of the package. I guess they wanted to see if they could charge more on top of the all ready above MSRP.  heheh.. but I got them to sell it to me for less than $1000 under MSRP...

and about idiots trying to race me in my V6, I get those too.. but mostly from ricers...  LOL  Once in a while, I'll have some F-body owner with a v8 try to race and I just ignore them... I just wanna roll down my window, reach over and slap them...  B*tch Slap  LOL

yeah, I get the ricers trying to race me also in my V-6...I run em...beat (most or)em and go on about my day. Blam Ding bats trying to run me in my mustang.....I get the F-bodies trying too, and I've beaten one...but I think he was an idiot that couldnt shift or something. Wink I my area, there are a lot of the Tourch red 05's and a few of the other red ones too...But I have yet to see a black one in my area. Mine is white, and I've already set ity apart from any others with a side stripe kit thats not like the factory's. I'm also going to tint the windows and put on silver racing stripes. I'll also add the rear spoiler. Grin That should set it apart from MOST of the croud.

I am lucky to not have had too many racers, roads still sandy in NH and not many racers out, only the teens with Honda accords or some misc imports with scoops on the hoods- all very funny.  I had one guy who just wanted to see if I would juice my car at a light, he tried to pass me on the right at a two land light, he was left far behind with it only in 3rd gear.  My GT is one delicious piece of fresh Ford Meat!  Got a Passport 8500 radar detector- I highly recommend it, this baby is sensitive, never know there were so many police out with their radar units on all the time.  Go K band!   Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley LOL LOL LOL

Actually, ALL mustangs this year are ltd production. The coupes arent even on the line anymore. The only ones being produced right now are the verts. It kinda sux, but to me, it just makes my "investment" worth even more. Of course, I'll have to wait like 30 years for it to mature, but hey...It's worth it to me. Smiley

I think you guys are being a bit misled by the term "limited." Ford has plans to produce 192,000 cars. That's up almost 50,000 over the entire 2004 run. Just an FYI on production for the past couple years:

2004: 141,907
2003: 153,134
2002: 142,404

GT's usually account for 30% of the total production, so the GT estimate for this year could be 60,000 cars. I think "limited" is being used as a marketing tool, more along the lines of "we're limiting production to whatever we think will sell.."

This is where my question came in, on the one hand they plan to produce 192,000 05 mustangs, on the other hand, where are they all?
