25 Quick Mustangs of BAM

We're going to do a thread for the quickest 25 cars of BAM. Here's how this will work…
Post your quarter mile times and trap speed here, major mods (i.e. 95 GT with H/C, Kenne Bell)
. If you post a link to your timeslip (or PM it to me), your time name will be put in bold. Post as many decimal points as your timeslip shows (if you post 12.4, I'll assume it's 12.499). If you have a link to a webpage (we have a great format here) for your car or a video of the run, dyno numbers, etc..., include that, and I'll link it.

Anyone who currently owns a Mustang and has posted on the site within the past month is eligible to be on the list!

I'll probably update this about once a week.

Also, any threads not for the purpose of updating the numbers will be removed to keep this as clean as possible. ***If you have comments, please PM me or the person with the combo -or- post about it in the GD area!*** Thanks!

All I have is 1/8 mile. I went 7.16@96, which would be about an 11.20 @125 in the quarter.

There's a picture in my gallery from FFW '05. My fastest pass 11.454 @ 122.01.  Although I have been 123.84 mph. Just my slow POS.

Edit: Added your time slip for ya. Smiley

Thanks Joe.

This pass was the first pass on a new set of M/T DRs. 306, 10:1 comp, 650 DP, Vic Jr, 1 5/8 LT headers, My buddy's Tremec, and 4.10 gears. 100 shot of NOS and about 3500 launch rpm.

My combo consists of...

*Exhaust - FMS ceramic coated shorties, Hedman offroad H-Pipe, and Flowmaster Catback

*Engine - Factory longblock with a Vortech S-Trim stock pullied along side an Anderson Ford Motorsport PowerPipe

*Fuel - 255ltr high pressure fuel pump, T-Rex inline fuel pump, 36lb injectors along with a calibrated Pro-M,

*Other - Steeda Tri-Ax, 3.73 gears, King Cobra clutch, Crane Fireball HI-6S Ignition, Raptor Performance shiftlight, and of corse a fuel pressure and boost gauge.

I have made about 8 passes on this setup. Here are the ones that didn't have a problem(spinning off the line, missing a gear, etc)

12.62 at 111 with a 1.9X 60'
12.3X at 113 with a 1.7X 60'
12.1X at 113 with a 1.68 60'
11.93 at 115 with a 1.63 60'

All those passes were made on 26x10 MT ET Drags at 15psi. I was launching at about 4,000-4,500K. On the last 3 passes, I raised my shift light to 5,500rpms. I was shifting at about 5600-5800. The initial timing is 12, with a total timing of about 20-21 degrees. The car has NO suspeniosn work, dyno time, custom chip, or A/R readings. Its 100% a backyard tune.

I'm taking my car to Atco next Thursday, I'm guessing with my mods I'm good for 14.5s all day long. I'll post the timeslip then.

Can't find a timeslip, but it was 12.2xx @ around 115 or so when I was on the spray.

Unfortunately I haven't been to the track with the blower yet  Beef , but it should be about the same since they are making almost identical horsepower(325 rwhp on the spray vs 327 rwhp with the blower.  Both on a mustang dyno)

12.37@110.6  1.71 60', 89 Lx Coupe.  Ton of go fast cheap and free mods...LOL  Ported G-40 irons, AFM "custom" cam, longtubes, 65mm TB, 77mm MAF, ported Gt-40 intake, 3.73 gears and all the other supporting bolt ons.  Lots of thrash time and "backyard Hillbilly tunes"  Dyno sheet is in my gallery before any of the Hillbilly tunes.  290rwhp and 330 rwtq.

12.72@105.4  1.72 60'~84 notchback "the welfare stang" 93 roller motor with a B303 cam, FRPP shorty headers, off road Hpipe, 3.73's, Weiand Stealth intake and holley 650 doublebogger, that was it.  Launched it off of the sweet sound of valve float and shifted to the same tune (stock tach didn't work) on worn out ET drags

How many 13 second slips do you want.....lol

Nice JD! But what's up with your 60'? Seems like you should be doing a helluva lot better than that. Not dogging you at all, but it just doesn't sound right. Nitto's losing tread? Wink

heh... actually that was one of the higher 60's of night.  I really tried putting the screws to it and spun the tires about 20ft out.  I think I need to tighten the front struts down a notch or two to keep the front from jumpin up so fast.

Anyways... the car went a 1.88 and 1.85 earier in the night, but it was hot and the car was hot lapped.

If I cut a 1.85 60' on that pass the thing would have been around a 12.50.  These nittos never really did work out as far as cutting crazy 60's.  Next spring i'm moving to at least a MT drag radial... if not just a set of ET streets on welds.  The nittos are my daily driver, and yes they only have like 1-2/32nds left on them.  Ive got 50 passes and like 10,000 miles on these freakin Nittos!  I admit they are a GREAT street tire that does pretty well at the track.

its nice tho...the car is getting pretty damn consistant! (well except the tires).  I admit a set of slicks would put this car into the low 12s and make the 60's real consistant.

My old LX hatch with stock heads and 4.10's cut a 1.85 with BFG drags. If you want daily tires, stick with Nitto's and don't cry about the 60' time. Both the MT and BFG don't last at all for regular street use.
