Did you ever try a vacuum gage on it to see what that shows?? I say that because it sounds like a leak, I know you've checked but some are hard to find but a vacuum gage will show it. http://sbftech.com/index.php/topic,3020.0.html

I did a long time ago and it was fine if I recall correctly. But I will give her another go and see what happens.

Checked vacuum the other night and it is fine. Could the injectors be bad in this. They are not very old but there is not much more that I can think of.

I guess it's possible, I had 1 bad injector in my stang when I put 24# injectors in it, it was running very very rich and was "bucking" at low RPMs. After I replaced the bad injector (and reset the computer) things went back to normal.

Never changed injectors. But last night I was listening to the car, and heard psst, psst coming somewhere around the intake. I used another can of brake cleaner and no RPM rise. This a sign of a bad injector???

That should show up in the codes or cylinder balance test
