What a longass drive this was.  Got a handful of pics to post up.  What a PITA packing up that garage was.  Our U-Haul weighed empty/full, we have almost 14,000 pounds worth of s*** in there.  The 3 of us back in San Angelo loaded that up in one day/night.  Sucked too because it was raining, snowing, hailing, and sleeting.   Going to attempt to unload it into storage units tomorrow so I can return the truck.  THAT is going to suck!  Thank God I've got a Cherrypicker.  Costs $40/day extra to keep the truck.  Have a meeting with the Realtor on Sunday, hopefully we find some houses we like!

I just can't believe how much freaking weight we took.  At least we will max out our DITY (Do IT Yourself) moving allowance, should be about $6000-$7000 there.

Staying at a Motel 6 for now.  Sucks because it's $50-$60/day, plus $3/day for internet, there is no fridge, no microwave, and there are nappy-haired ho's running around everywhere. Wink  I wish I could carry.  Luckily they are letting us keep both our dogs here.  I hope they don't bark a whole lot at all the crap going on here and then we get kicked out onto the street.

Truck ran great on the way up, turned over 300,000 miles too.  I definitely need a little front end work, I have a lot of steering slop, I guess that's just a Dodge thing though.  I never really noticed when I wasn't towing.

I'm so friggen' happy to be the hell out of San Angelo finally! W00t!

I'll get some pics up.

If possible, do NOT get in the car with the real estate agent.  You need an out, ideally being in your own car, should you suddendly want to wail the agent.

Good luck - glad to hear you made it there uneventfully.

How many vehicles made the trip, since I know you were trying to get rid of some?

Good for you Dave, glad to hear things went well for a change.
