Nothing wrong with that. Playoffs should be fun, even though my boys aren't going to make it thanks to blown games from our "relief" pitchers (unless a friggin' miracle happens). It's ridiculous. The best example of this meltdown is Wednesday when the Rays played the Yanks. Niemann, the rook pitcher, took a shutout in the eighth against arguably the best offensive team in baseball and guess what happened? Rays dipped into their bullpen and they lost the game. Wasn't expecting Niemann to pitch a complete game, just to have our relief pitchers not suck ass; but I guess that's too much to ask. Even if the Rays somehow make it, they're not going to last long at all with their lack of relievers and losing Pena doesn't really help either.  |

I dunno about that. His starts have been getting a little better (especially last Tuesday's game against the Yanks) and he even said he'd like to remain as a starter but would close if they needed him to., although I remember Maddon saying in the past that Price wasn't an option to close.
If Price continues to show promise, I have no problems with him still starting. Sure, he'll probably get lit up a few more times in the future but he's still getting his feet wet.
About the Rays closer. when Howell is on though, he's on. When he's off, he's really, really off. If Howell can reduce those off games, he'll be a great closer IMO.
