I usually file as soon as I get all my paperwork. I moved and forgot to change my address on some stuff so I ended up having to track down a bunch of paperwork...grrrr. I'm still bringing home 1500 bucks, even after making an untaxed 5 grand with tallmanphoto (1099misc) and another 1500 (1099misc) from winning that camera from canon.

I always do my federal but my state tax confused me in '04 so I haven't filed it since. I wonder if they're gonna be mad?  I really should round up those W2's and get someone looking at that, huh? |

Yep!  And O.M.G!!! I went over to a friends tonight to finish up her son's taxes that I started the other day but had to wait on him for some info. Well, she decided to log on to TurboTax and see if she couldn't get him a bigger refund by "adjusting" some of his numbers. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets audited.  |

head of household means you earn more than half the income and pay for more than half the cost of a qualifying person, generally a dependant. Too many people assume that because they're single and providing a house for THEMSELVES, they can file as head of household.
