What cracked me up was the market rally leading into the election.

I'm reveling in the palpable feeling of goodwill that I don't believe for one second would have been possible if McCain had won.  I say that not as a democrat or a republican or a libertarian (where I really land), I say that as a member of the population at large.

That is, except for the usual short list of f***tards at the corral.  "Reprehensible" is but one of the words that keeps coming to mind.   I'd be pretty OK with it if I didn't think they were the just the tip of the real world iceberg.

That Sarah Palin had a special needs child does not mean she should be the one to stay home and take care of it, I'm sure there is no reason at all the father couldn't do it. I have a special needs child and when he was younger both of us worked, I even worked more then ffull time and still managed to homeschool him through second grade.

As for her daughter getting knocked up, we both know that never ever happens in American society, no matter who the parents are.

I think as Americans we've got a lot to be proud of in having a black president, even if he is only half, I don't agree with much of what he stands for, but he is our president. We'll see how things go.

Never turn your back on a Ron Paul supporter. Those sort of comments are way over the line. When I do go to the corral it's usually only to hit the tech forum and classifieds, the lounge stuff had always some sort of drama going on, which is why I seldom go there.

Yes, there's a bunch of folks that have been way over the top in various threads so many I can't keep track.  I don't believe for a second that Obama will be the great uniter that people seem to think he will be.  I don't give a damn what color he is and never have.  I just don't care for a great deal of what comes out of his mouth.  I think he will govern more towards the middle in his first term for fear of not getting re-elected.  It's the second term that I fear the most and yes I think he will be re-elected.  Nothing in the Republican party give me any reason do differ.

Its funny to see how places in like faceless, mostly nameless forums, people show how racist they really are.  While at the same time if i look at my myspace friends and facebook friends seem to be really excited about Obama... 

I guess until monday i didnt realize how many of my friends were actually voting for him, and what really surprised me is how much they cared...  not sure how long it will last though...

It has not much to do with guns for me, Look what Castro promised for Cuba and how he got elected... then go back and take another look at Obama..  it should look very similar.. it's those things that worry me..  I could care less if he was barney the purple f***ing dinosaur.. He was not the person that should have been elected..  He got elected not because he was the better person, but because he's black..  Why did this election have so many new voters? If race doesn't have anything to do with it, why is the media harping on the fact he's black?  Do I care he's black? no I don't cause if Powell or Rice was running,  I would have probably cast my vote for them.. Obama doesn't have it at this point and time.. maybe 2012 he would have.. but not right now..

But I will sit back and watch him fail, watch him NOT do what he promised, and watch him turn this place into a socialist country.. And in 2012, I will try like hell to vote him out..

Hahahaha, whatever!  You wanted a black man in office, and ran scared from the corral after a couple jokes.  Chris Rock will be saying the same things in a week from now.  Several black comedians in the last week prior were cracking jokes about how blacks were "being good" since they didn't want to mess anything up.  They were saying less rappers were getting arrested, sport players were staying out of trouble, etc.  Hell, Eddie Murphy did a routine like 15 year ago about if we got a first black president.

Its amazing that nothing I say would be wrong if I were black, but because I'm white, its racist.  Think what you want Cam.  I'm a minority at white being young, white, from america, and straight.  All kinds of jokes get tossed around work everything that could have us ALL at HR, but we all know how to not take things personal.

Blame the press.  Its on the front of everything.  FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT, FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN PRESIDENT!!!  CNN has done a lot of specials about "black america"  Election night, they kept asking the one black guy they had on stage most the questions.  Its all about race.

I've said nothing in regards to the fact he will fail because he's black.  Not once.  I've had black bosses, black neighbors, black friends, etc.  I only judge people once I know them.  Even then, I judge them for how they act, what they do, what they say, etc.  I don't judge anyone on the color of their skin.  I hate Osama for his political views, and his past actions.  Thats that.
