If you have been following my progress with the garage you know that I had to put down a second coat of epoxy on the floor after dealing with the floor cracks, well I then decided I should paint the garage while everything was out so I painted the walls.  That in turn made the ceiling look bad so I painted the ceiling.   Crazy  Then I decided that I wasn't happy with my work bench and lack of storage so I bought these  Blam

Unfinished Oak from a builders supply place.  The sides are Oak veneer plywood, but the faces are solid oak so they are decent.  They aren't quite up to what you would put in your home really, but they will do for the money.  I had 13 ft/156 inches of block wall on the back of the garage where I work so I bought (2) 18 inch pantry cabinets and (4) 30 inch wall cabinets to span the gap above/between them.  That leaves me 10 feet of space to build a work bench between them on the bottom.  I will have to build that once I get these up  Banging head on wall  I also just realized that I'm going to want electrical outlets on that bench so I've got to run that stuff as well  Banging head on wall  Anyway, I spent all day yesterday at my dads sanding and staining these things, my hands are a mess despite multiple cleanings with laquer thinner, acetone, pretty much every cancer causing thing you can think of  LOL  I'm going back over there this afternoon to spray them with Polyurethane and then I should be able to take them to the house/install them tomorrow evening hopefully.  Cabinets are pricey, these ran $1k unfinished and honestly they aren't the greatest, but good enough for a garage.

Those will work perfect in the garage.  And just think, all the time, effort, and money you've put into it is still cheaper than buying a new house!  LOL

I'm beginning to wonder.  We actually talked about building a new house recently  Shocked  Crazy BS  Our marriage wouldn't survive another one I don't think.  There have been two already, houses, not marriages   Grin

Damn Chris, I swept the dust on my floor onto an oil spot to help pick it up. I then took some stuff that was on my bench and stapled it to the wall to get it out of my way.. You are turning that damn thing into a family room!! LOL

Chris - if you don't mind me asking, how much did all those cabinets set you back?

The garage in the new house has dramatically less room than my current one so maximizing space will be key.

EDIT - never mind. 1g.

F that LOL

The G is the least of your problems, they are unfinished and it's crap load of work doing them proper.  My arm hair is crunch from all the Polyurethane I got on me spraying them this evening  LOL

I've got to take some yet.  Tell him not to buy the water based Epoxy, get the solvent based stuff from Rustoleum.  It's tough to find.
