Been a while since I've been around. Thought I'd pop in and say Hi.
Here's what I've been up to the last few years.......
Me and the girl were engaged and living together....I travel a lot for work and came home early.....found a little surprise in my bed.....
Needless to say I am not with her anymore. We were looking at buying our own place, so I moved out and bought an 03 cobra. Been the best summer I've had in about 7 years or so....
So at this point is was a house or a car...I chose the car and am very glad I did. The house will come later, but I am on the road about 6-8 months out of the year, so the last thing I really need is a house that i can't take care of...
Anyways, how is everyone?

Hey homie, I'm doing great over here. Sorry to hear about the woman, but you know it's better to have found out than let it keep happening unknowingly for months or years more. I've been working as a RN full-time in our medical ICU at my hospital since June, independent as of last month. It's a hectic job but I love what I do and the pay ain't bad either. It's midnights which is a change for me, but it's not horrible. Grocery shopping and hitting the gym at 3 AM is awesome, absolutely nobody to get in your way, no lines, etc. Driving this POS: I considered something newer a few months back but nobody had any great deals and now I'm glad I held off. This car is a wonderful winter car, heated seats, decent stereo, absolutely no power to attempt to kill myself with. I'll worry about a new car come spring/summer. I've been dating this chick for 5 months now and she is awesome: Both of us want to go back to school for our Master's degrees so we're gonna be nerds and study for the GRE slowly here. She wants to get her Master's in Biotechnology, I'm going to for Nurse Anesthesia. We'd ideally like to be at my alma mater too since they have excellent programs for both, so I'm hoping things work out for us. I'm probably gonna start my last prerequisite next semester, and granted I get in for my program next summer I would start fall 2011. Then it's 2 years straight through, can't work at all so yay for more student loans, but it's worth it in the end because I'd have a kickass job all said and done.

yup still got the vert.... finally got all the parts rounded up, and just got the car out to my dad's new garage last weekend. Gotta finish wiring up the garage before i can start on the car. Got a nice Sportsman block, forged 342 bottom end (std bore 347) ported TFS heads, ported RPM intake, and a nice little vortech blower with a TKO...slowly been collecting parts over the last 4-5 years....my goal is to have both verts at Mustang week next year at the latest. Should be back together by spring. Got new wheels for the cobra already, just need to buy the tires.....damn 18's are expensive...lol Thanks, I thought it was sexy too. spent 6 months looking for one, and actually wanted a coupe, but ran across the cobra vert by accident....There was one other color i would consider, but the seller didn't want to deal and I really wanted the sonic blue since i saw one new in 03 and couldn't afford it then.... It is one of 340 Sonic Blue verts with the black top & black/grey leather....they didn't make SB in 04..... glad I bought the vert over the coupe, I mean it isn't a daily drvier....... I'm sad though....it just rolled over 30K miles tonight........gotta put it away very soon. So where is everyone at these days? don't see too many faces around here anymore Glad things are going well Dan. Just remember not to over do it at work. Took me a long time to relize that.... Still in Florida Robin? Ever talk to dave (south fla dave from the corral? been like 04 corral day that I last saw or talked to him) Where's Dozer at these days? Marky still around? Elb? Blackie? Gravel? Cara? Anyone? ?

Man I love Sonic Blue '03's. Was walking through the back office today on my way to the s***ter and I hear one of our HR guys scream "Ay mate! You still got that piece of s*** M3?!" Turns out he's got a GT500 and wants to run 'em. I haven't been in many '03's - how heavy do they feel around town & through the corners? Any annoyances with it? Almost bought an '03 before I got the M and it didn't scratch the muscle car itch too well

Almost bought an '03 before I got the M and it didn't scratch the muscle car itch too well I'm sorry dude. I missed this the first couple of times around. It isn't a Beemer, but by far, hands down: it is the best riding, best handling mustang i have ever been in. It is a little hefty (wieghs in at like 3800!) but is still very nimble through the twisties. I've got the lowering spings here waiting to install them once Iget the 86 done. The IRS in these cars helps tremendously. i rode in my buddies 03 cobra coupe (SB with a big whipple and an 8.8 solid axle) and it rides like a 1973 F450 farm truck...I hope I don't loose the ride with the springs and bushings....

Thanks Cara!
I'm around the akron area these days..Looking for a house out in the norton, barberton, clinton, west akron area. you ever take the car out to any of the cruises? Haven't seen you on buckeye...That is where i normally hang out these days. A bunch of great people over there.
You up for a Myrtle Beach mustang week? lol there are a handfull of us Akron-ers (man that feels weird saying that) going down... How's the car running? Really thought about putting a KB on the 86.... Take care

It isn't a Beemer, but by far, hands down: it is the best riding, best handling mustang i have ever been in. I drove an '10 Mustang over the weekend. After driving that and hopping back into my LX I wondered why even mess with these anymore. The foxbodies are fun for bombing around town or dragracing, but other then that I don't care much for driving one across country again.
