I did all work except for the building and physical installation of the tops to the cabinets.  Well I sort of helped the guy with that too lol.  Only a one man show with a pretty big top.

This is the unit.  It has performed flawlessly so far and the technology in the new gas stuff is awesome.

Kim wants a new floor (as do I).
However, that would require a complete tear-out (previous owners installed flooring over flooring over flooring (and possibly over flooring), then all new appliances, then new this, then new that....

Never ending...

This house came with of course s***ty lenolium(sp?) flooring.

When we took it out we had to remove the partical board filler and get down to the plywood.

I'll be damned if we were taking the counters and cabinets out for that.

Used a toe kick saw.   That as fun.

that will be second or third.

First will in fact be restaining the outside of the house.

second will be some form of air conditioning.

That is the same situation that we are in currently.
I need to do something since the damn thing squeaks like no tomorrow...

The other "latest" project is tearing up the carpeting and refinishing the original hardwood floors.
I have told her no a few times.  A lot of work, a lot of time, and I happen to like some carpeting on the floor in the winter.

Also, the carpeting is going on 4 yrs old so it does not need replaced.  Deep cleaned, yes (it is almost white - - oops!), but not replaced.

Where did you get the countertops again?
