I don't have a whole lot of experience, but here goes:

91 LX: GT40 P heads (1.84/1.54, stage 3 ported). Ran 13.68 @ 98 MPH with 3.27 gears, E303 camshaft, Extrude Honed stock intake, Mac shorty P headers, Flowmaster American Thunder catback, and hollowed out cats.

95 GT: GT40 iron heads (1.94/1.54, stage 3 ported, milled .020). Ran a best of 12.993 @ 106.65 MPH with 4.10 gears, E303 cam, BBK shorty headers, Borla side exhaust, Cobra intake, off road h-pipe, underdrive pulleys, BFG drag radials.

List your results, please!

Yeah, the HP curve is a little steeper, too, an my max torrque, surprisingly enough peaks just a tiny bit earlier.  Unfortunalely, the run was cut a little short for whatever reason.

The 2200 is used on a GT40 style lower right?  If you haven't ported the lower, your leaving torque/power on the table.

LOL, the Blowzilla bypass uses the GT40 lower, but I just have the 2200 with the standard bypass, and yeah, I'm leaving a lot on the table.  This winter I am going to swap out the upper (put the Flowzilla on) and port a gt40 lower, I should see a big gain from that.

Haha Michelle!!!  Are you talking about the discharge mainfold?  That and the bypass are the only things I'm going to try to sell (well, those and 2 stock lowers).  Yes, I own 2 stock lowers!!!  One was my 95 stock and the other is a 95 with the IAT port on the #5 runner, lol.  Nice to have your IAT after the compressor, lol!

The cam is a pretty stout "stock" cam as some of the early 85-early88 cams are known to be.  Duration @.050" lift came in at 219*I/212.5*E with a 112.5 lsa (113* I/112E lca).  I got Buddy Rawls help in determining the best ICL and he seems to have hit it dead nuts - I averaged almost 300lb-ft over the 2,000-5,600 rpm band.  The combo is very well matched in flow charactaristics.

ICL - Intake Center Line (where the cam is installed).  Buddy told me that 109* ICL was the best installed position, and the 4* advanced key on my timing set got me in at 109* ICL (113* Intake lobe center line minus 4* advance).

Also, that is a very nice torque curve.

So far so good. I read into them before but they seemed pricey. Either it's me or they really came down some? Then again we exceeded our budget amount in the "Mustang account" so we have some $$$ to play with.  Dance

Ported Windsor Srs on a 306 and on a 351w good for the money spent
Ported and stock 4V(open and closed chamber) Cleveland heads on several 351Cs
Aussie 2V cleveland heads on a 302 with a B&A intake
66 289 heads(again several sets)
GT40Ps 306
ported and unported 69 and 70 351w heads
TFS/Wil Burt KPI High Ports on a 351w and currently atop a 377
Early pedestal mount TFS TW(no guide issues at all)
TFS Track Heats(non emissions TW)
AFR225s on my 418w

I would have to honestly give my opinion by saying in each and every head I have listed there are both good and bad points, With that said I feel the best head for the money was the CC 4V 351C head followed closely by the Windsor Sr/TFS high port and TFS TW. The Windsor Sr and TFS High Port were marginal out of the box but reacted very well to porting, The TFS High Port was the better of the 2 but the costs of porting hurt it when compared to many modern day offerings. Any of the factory Ford inline valve castings work very well on mild small cube street cars, But the Clevelands are hands down the best head for the money. I was very happy using them with MPG port plates which did alot for these heads. The TW heads are the best bang out of the box for a small cube engine but respond well to porting and work good on engines not peaking HP over 5500-6000 rpm and nearing 400 cubes. My AFRs are nice but who knows how it runs due to all the usual house set backs, It ran until this Tues night when my inlet line on my hot water heater busted and filled both the engine and car full of water. Banging head on wall
