Hey guy's, I just purchased an S-trim from Ebay for my 97 Gt, it's a five speed, stone stock except a no-name exhaust and no air silencer. Anyway, before I have the Vortech put on, what else should I get in addition? I'm think maybe a 255lph pum, 36lb injectors, an sct tune at Modular Depot, and what? I dont want to spend thousands more here, do those upper plenums get you anything? How about mass air, or throttle bodies? I know I should do the exhaust, but I know it can wait until I pay the credit card back down too, so maybe with a 1000 for parts, what else should I get? Thanks

You're definitely going to need a new fuel pump/injectors and a tune to get it running at its best. Then you need to start looking at other little things to make your maximum HP possible/useful, such as a throttle body/plenum/full (brand name  Wink) exhaust, tires to put that power to the ground, etc.

Remember that when you get new injectors that you either have to get a new MAF or get yours recalibrated.

When I did my T-Trim I also added a new fuel pump(the Aussie Focus pump), Bosh 42lb injectors, a Ford Lightning MAF(since it is already calibrated for 42 lb injectors) and a SCT tune.  Mine would be running great except for the fact I have a huge ass intercooler, causing about 3 lbs of boost loss.  That will be fixed soon with a pulley, though. Oh yeah, it may also be a good idea to go a step or two colder on your spark plugs. Smiley

I've got nothing against people's opinions :)

I'd suggest a 255 pump, at 36 lb. injectors, a new (larger) MAF to support your new flow, and maybe an upper plenum and some headers.  If you're gonna have all that air coming in, you need to get it out.  And yes, upper plenums help, especially on SC cars....

You've got the right idea about the tune  Grin
