4.6 Modifications - Sharing Information

Last told the GOTTORK had an engine tick. Turns out that a portion of the surface of #8 had let loose (likely boost related) and was bouncing around in the cylinder - ouch. Engine comes out, work goes in. We have bored the engine 4.000 thousands, DDS provides fly cut pistons, rods, rings, crank and main valves; heads and valves by Patriot (story here...see me before you buy!), Comp Cams, Trick Flow intake. Requires moving the alternator and more. All hooked back up to the Pro Charger PS1SC running at a (now) modest 8# with intercooler and Anderson Pipe. Exhaust is Bassani and the rear end is at 3.73. 60# injectors.
Ride now turns the famous 427 RWHP at 401 FP. Local time is 12.20.
Much information is you are considering same.
Teenage daughter wants to drive it. What do you think?

Wow, sounds like a badass ride now. I like how you made lemonade out of lemons. Btw, you should add your vehicle to the "
garage
" here.

Please do post about your experience with Patriot, you might also want to submit a review about them on the "

Engine is using oil. Nothing on the floor and no appearance of oil in coolant...but what's the test? Definite blast of smoke as I peg the throttle. Still dealing with Patriot - stay tuned.

Please don't give your teenage daughter that much of a car to drive.
Have you done a leak-down test?

Leak down test was fine. I am going to replace the PCV valves to see if that cleans it up.
Don't worry - teenage daughter does not drive it but we should all stay home when wife does.
