This is a neutral question. I don't favor the man, I do think it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that we're going to have our first Black president come tally time tomorrow.
What's everyone's plans? Gonna sit back and reflect upon it, or just go about your business like usual?
I know a couple of our crazies will increase the rate at which they stock guns, ammo and dry goods.
How about the rest of us? How do you feel?
Either way you look at it, this is probably going to be one of the most remembered elections in history. A lot of things are going to happen, one way or the other.
Just looking for thoughts from the few thinkers we have here. Rational, calm thoughts.

I'm not so worried about the ammo situation, although I did see that d***'s Sporting Goods has some cheapy 9mm for $9.98 a box. Might have to swing by there sometime this week.

I told my husband he probably has enough guns but if he can afford more, to buy them. I also told him he really should consider stockpiling ammo. What good are guns if you have no bullets for them?

If Obama wins and the democrats do not have a congressional majority he won't be able to get his marxist/socialist agenda passed. He won't need to increase the army's strength when he wants a national police force, never mind that we already have a national guard, and each state already has it's own state patrol, county and municipal police forces. Obama does plan to increase taxes on ammo significantly, which is why I've been stocking up on ammo myself, does that make me a non-thinker?  Finally it is not a foregone conclusion that Obama wins, remember the media told us the same thing in 2000 and 2004.  If he doesn't win I do belive there will be a lot of legal challenges and probably even some rioting going on. Also, he'll be in for a rude awakening if he doesn't have a large majority in congress and can't fulfill all these promises he's been making on the campaign trail. |

I will probably buy a couple of guns and a bunch of components for reloading before the prices go up. I'm always looking for an excuse and this is as good a one as any I suppose Call me crazy if you want to, but you can never have too many around IMO. Mostly I think I will look really, really hard at ways to reduce what I pay in taxes. I know a lot of people that have said if he's elected they will do whatever they have to in order to reduce the taxes they pay. These are folks that most likely will see tax increases, not the decreases he's preaching. I've been needing to look at my tax situation and how we invest our money for a while anyway. It pisses me off to see the election go this way. I don't think he can make good on his promises and he as well as Biden are really anti gun. My experience has been that when a candidate has no respect for the second amendment he generally will s*** on your other personal freedoms without a second thought as well. |

I actually feel sorry for the poor bastard that takes the Presidential position. I wouldn't take that job if it was given to me. Whoever wins is walking into a flaming pit and will have their hands full for the entire term of the presidency.
I only pray whoever wins (race to me doesn't matter at all) does the right thing in trying to straighten this f'ing distaster of a country that we live in. They are going to have to prove themselves in a big way to a very discouraged country.
I'm not a political person by any means, but one thing I do know is that the powers that be are doing a horrible job of running our country at this point in our history.
At one time, anyone in the U.S. could say confidently that we were the strongest nation in the world. I honestly feel that we are not anymore. Hopefully that will change in our future.
I am actually very worried about what this place will be like when my kids grow up. I think about that every day.
With that being said, I guess time will tell

Well I don't consider myself a crazy but in honor of election day, I just purchased a new gun about 1 hour ago. Should be here sometime next week. I am pretty well covered in the ammo dept. Might have to grab a few more cases of MRE's though and toilet paper.  STI Tactical. Hi capacitity 1911 (2011) in a .40 S&W.  |
