Is extra price of Zaino worth it over the rest?

I've heard different things from different people, but like to hear more opinions.

In a word, yes. This is my opinion, and i've seen my old '96 Cobra next to a '98 Cobra that had used Meguiars it's whole life.

My car: 1996 Laser Red, 22k or somewhere around there..
His car: 1998 Laser Red, 13k miles

His was garage kept and waxed regularly. I did the Zaino process, claybar, wash, polish, polish, polish, etc.. He wanted to check it out so I brought the car to his house and parked down the street (circular court street, still near the house). We both were taken back by the depth and by the shine. The entire car, from bumper to bumper, looked like blood red glass. His freshly waxed '98 looked great as well, but we wanted a real comparison so I parked mine behind his. Clear difference when you walk up on the cars. Mine was darker, shinier, had more depth and reflection qualities and hid the swirl marks 10x better than his.

NXT is also very high quality wax that will work equally as well to protect your paint. I use it on my Explorer because i'm too cheap for Zaino right now.

Cool, that's what I wanted to hear.

I'm going to probably place an order for it this week. Thanks Phil.

I have used Maguiars pretty much all my life and I recently picked up some of the Zaino product.  I like it better.  The thing I like about it is that you can do multiple coats easily and you can add the activator to make it dry / haze up quickly.  Humidity is terrible here and sometimes it takes forever for wax to setup and come off semi easily.  The NXT is good wax, but it doesn't last long IMO.  I'll be using the Zaino from now on I believe.

Hmmm what products should I get?

Do I order one of those complete kits?  If so, which one?

what i did was order the whole kit, i think it was the one for 116.  that has everything i would need and more. i don't have leather seats which i think your car does, which would benifit you.  i will let you know when i get it either today or tommorow.

http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ZKIT-1

That is the one that I ordered.

They seem to have a couple new products that i'm not familiar with. I may have to try out the newer stuff they have and see how good it works.

Alright, the kit came last week, I can't wait to put it on.

Now about using Dawn first....how do I apply it?  Just squirt a little on and rub it in?  Or let it sit, then hose off?

Alright, the kit came last week, I can't wait to put it on.

Now about using Dawn first....how do I apply it?  Just squirt a little on and rub it in?  Or let it sit, then hose off?

Get a bucket, pour some dawn in there just like you would with normal car wash liquid. Get it mixed thoroughly, wash the car with the Dawn/water bath, rinse it off, dry completely in the shade. Get out a squirt bottle, mix the zaino car wash and water in the squirt bottle. This is the lubricant used for the claybar. Spray some on a small section and follow the claybar instructions to a T.

Once the claybar is done, spray the car off with water and wash it with the zaino car wash and water mixture. Dry this completely, make sure there's no water marks anywhere, and now you're ready to apply Z5. Mix the ZFX and the Z5 into a small bottle, apply to the whole car, make sure it's dry, and take it off exactly as the bottle says with a 100% white USA cotton towel. Yes, it has to be USA - 100%, and preferably white. White contains no dye.

Once you take off this layer, I use the Z6 spray next to make sure every bit of everything is off the car. Don't spray it on the wax, this step is done after the wax is completely off the car.

After the Z6, seal the deal with a little Z1 and you're ready to hit the strip and pimp them ho's!

I like doing the steps. It's hard work and I know the job got done right, not to mention if I can keep the paint looking as good as it has been, the resale value will show it.

This stuff it will out last any product. I use it on my 1994 Impala SS and it is black. The Z-5 does take out the swirls that come with washing it. Sometimes you can not avoid swirls. Here are some pics of zaino. http://impalassforum.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=003956#000000 you will see the first pics look like the car is black but it is the Dark cherry colored impala ss offered in the 95-96 models. 94 impala ss's came in black only.
