Has anyone tried waxing their wheels to help keep them clean?

If they are either painted or have a clear coat, I can only imagine it helping.

I never really thought about it. Maybe I'll have to give it a shot and see if it helps.

They're brand new and painted, and Id like to keep them looking that way. Caked on brake dust = FTL
Maybe waxing them will get me an extra 1/10th in the quarter mile too.

Get them powercoated clear. Or try to spray the with clear. I am sure powercoating is a better idea.

I've never waxed the wheels on my last truck or new truck. When I had my Ranger, it had chrome rims on it. By all means, I'd keep chrome wheels waxed. When I wash my truck, I use a wash and wax soap, I guess I do in a way. If they are painted, it shouldn't hurt.

Don't race it if you're afraid to break it.
My wife is a Dispatcher, she tells me where to go .....and gets paid for it.
